Ms Valentina Mintah is First Ghanaian to be on international Chamber of Commerce Board


The C.E.O of West Blue Consulting , Ms Valentina Mintah has being appointed on the board of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), for her exceptional role as a technology expert. This makes her the first Ghanaian female for that position in the over hundred years of the organization’s existence.

The exceptional executive joins the ICC Executive Board, and is responsible for developing and implementing ICC’s strategy, policy and programme of action, and for overseeing the financial affairs of the world business organisation.

Me Mintah was previously a Senior Solutions Specialist at Crown Agents in the UK, having previously worked at IBM.

She is also a founding member of the African Performance Institute, an organisation that promotes the advancement of e-commerce and e-government in Africa.

Her award-winning Information and CommunicationTechnology organisation, West Blue Consulting established in 2012, has been awarded government contracts to provide a National Window implementation which was estimated to fetch the founder between 200 to 300 million dollars.

Ms Mintah has faced several challenges including backlash from aggrieved competitors in regard to her government contracts and other related industry grievances. However, amid all the distractions, she has proven to be a formidable personality.

Commenting on her appointment Ms Mintah said,
“I look forward to drawing on my experience of working with West African and other emerging economies to support the promotion of international trade, responsible business conduct, and a global approach to regulation.”

She believes that to achieve the desired accelerated economic growth in Ghana, there is a need for true collaboration and partnerships among government institutions and businesses in the private sector.
